IHH Inaugural Risk and Compliance Forum 2024
23 Jul 2024

IHH held its inaugural risk and compliance forum on 2 and 3 July 2024, under the theme of "Navigating Uncertainties. Forming Resilience. Seizing Opportunities”.

Opening the forum, Ashok Pandit, Group Chief Corporate Officer, set the tone by stressing that while AI and technology are revolutionising the delivery of healthcare, it is also crucial to leverage innovation to remain resilient. He emphasised that IHH must continuously challenge ourselves to transform and future-proof the organisation and safeguard our future by empowering our teams to elevate risk and compliance standards:

“Resilience is our secret weapon for navigating change. It means being proactive, recovering from errors, engaging our teams, and staying prepared for any risks. To do that, we must continuously challenge ourselves to transform and future-proof the organisation through ongoing improvements in our areas of expertise. To remain proactive, healthcare providers must identify key disruptions, understand their impacts, and develop capabilities to tackle them,” he said.

A dynamic panel moderated by Nili Shayrina Saat, Group Head of Risk Management & Compliance, featured Linus Tham, Group Chief Information OfficerDr Keith Lim, Group Head of Medical and QualityStephen Byrne, Group Head of Internal Audit and Gagandeep Singh, Group Chief of Information Security. They tackled key challenges, from adjusting controls for better decision-making to fostering collaborations that drive synergies across the board.

Special thanks to our three distinguished guests whose insights enriched our conversations on business resilience, data protection, and anti-bribery and corruption measures.
