Start Your Nursing Journey at IHH

At IHH, we support the two recognised routes in the nursing profession – Registered and Enrolled Nurses.

Our Registered Nurses can choose to specialise in the key recognised fields of nursing including paediatrics, midwifery, maternity, neuroscience, orthopaedics, critical care, perioperative nursing, oncology or palliative care. You will be able to advance in the nursing profession in roles such as Nurse Clinician, Nurse Educator, Nurse Manager and Director of Nursing. There is also the opportunity to study for master’s or PhD qualifications.

Enrolled Nurses at IHH work alongside Registered Nurses to deliver exceptional patient care and have the opportunity to train further and advance their careers as Senior Enrolled Nurses and Registered Nurses.

Career Progression for IHH Nurses

Alongside providing direct bedside care to patients, nurses at IHH have the opportunity to grow and develop along three pathways, helping us advance the quality of our work, clinical excellence and the patient experience.

There is also the opportunity to gain new professional and life experience through cross attachments in other countries through the IHH global network.

Management and Leadership

You will lead nursing teams and oversee ward operations; collaborate with other healthcare professionals; manage nursing resources, job evaluation and design; and conduct policy reviews.

Clinical Practice

This pathway involves providing clinical leadership and direct care to patients and families; evaluating nursing plans; and assisting in training to develop holistic care for patients.

Education and Advancement

You will help both new graduates and experienced nurses to develop, build their competencies, manage their training and plan and evaluate nursing programmes and courses. All the while, you will continually expand your knowledge of the latest best practice and new technologies.

Training Opportunities

At IHH, we are training and developing the next generation of leaders in the nursing profession, supported through our rich teaching and mentoring culture. For example, our Nursing I-LEAD programme is a virtual workshop that helps nurses develop their ability to build trust with patients by conveying empathy and compassion using simulations to demonstrate best practice in a variety of realistic scenarios.
