As I reflect on my journey since joining IHH Healthcare as Chairman in June, I am filled with gratitude for the remarkable dedication and passion that defines our organisation. Our aspiration, Care. For Good., is not merely a slogan; it embodies our living commitment to transforming care for our patients. The recent launch of South-east Asia’s first private Proton Therapy Centre at Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital in Singapore exemplifies this dedication. Additionally, in India, Fortis Memorial Research Institute has launched South Asia's first Gamma Knife Esprit, marking a significant advancement in the non-surgical treatment of brain tumours. In Turkiye, Acıbadem is making progress with the 11th hospital in Istanbul, located in the Kartal vicinity, further expanding our reach and capabilities.
As a multi-geography healthcare provider, we recognise the synergies and value we bring to various stakeholders—shareholders, patients, and our people alike. By leveraging our diverse expertise and resources across regions, we can enhance patient care, drive innovation, and create sustainable value for all.
In alignment with our 2025 sustainability goals, our hospitals across Malaysia, such as Prince Court Medical Centre, Gleneagles Hospital Penang and Pantai Hospital Kuala Lumpur have undertaken significant initiatives to decarbonise operations, including the installation of solar panels and the reduction of single-use plastics. These efforts reflect our unwavering commitment to protecting our planet, our only home.
