With Olympic fever running high during the Tokyo Olympic Games, our colleagues at Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong jumped in for a good cause at their inaugural GHK 20-second Charity Fundraising Challenge. Over a span of three weeks in August, they raised HK$57,000 for the Children’s Cancer Foundation, with the hospital pledging a donation for every completed challenge.
Staff went all out to demonstrate their prowess completing several challenges, ranging from easy ones such as making a necktie knot and peeling oranges, to more difficult exercises like push-ups and jump rope. For each successful attempt to complete the challenge within 20 seconds, the hospital donated a sum to the charity.
The fundraising programme received very positive response from over 70 colleagues including hospital management, colleagues from various departments and doctors. Kudos to Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong for injecting positive energy at the workplace while doing good for the community!
