In celebration of its Golden Anniversary this year, Parkway Shenton is going all out to care for our Patients (opening a new clinic at Guoco Tower on 1 April); Public (holding a community health carnival with free health screening for Buona Vista residents on 27 May and distributing food to the underprivileged on 29 Jun) and soon to come Planet (kayaking & beach clean-up on 17 September) and People (closing year-long celebration with gala dinner on 1 December).
While the opening of its 54th clinic in Singapore symbolises a milestone in Parkway Shenton’s ongoing expansion to provide exceptional primary healthcare services, the health carnival held at the Buona Vista Community Club was aligned to support the Healthier SG initiative.
Graced by guest-of-honour, Mr Chan Chun Sing, Minister for Education and Adviser to the Tanjong Pagar GRC Grassroots Organisations (Buona Vista), this event aimed at raising health awareness, with a focus on preventive care and chronic disease management.
The event was a smashing success with 280 residents participating in free health screenings and more joining in the wellness and health booth activities.
Over 50 Parkway Shenton and IHH Healthcare Singapore employees volunteered at the health carnival as healthcare ambassadors. Beyond providing medical advice, they also showcased the organisation’s other offerings including the Parkway Rehab services, nutrition & dietetics and our latest MyHealth360 app which features teleconsultation services.
Tay Wee Kai, Chief Executive Officer of Parkway Shenton, said, “For the past 50 years, Parkway Shenton has been providing personalised care and serving our communities around the country. It is high time we take on a more active role by deepening our engagements with the people we serve. By coming forward and partnering community enablers like the Buona Vista Active Ageing Committee, we hope to encourage more people in Singapore to take charge of their health and well-being through preventive care.”
