Linear Accelerator (LINAC) Based External Beam Radiotherapy Treatment

LINAC delivers high-precision radiation therapy by using advanced imaging and radiation beam-shaping capabilities to target various cancers. It provides greater accuracy, treatment times are reduced, and patients' side effects are controlled by reducing the radiation dose to the healthy tissues around the tumour. LINAC solution is versatile in treating many different types of tumors. The Linac machines available in our system include Tomotherapy, TrueBeam, VersaHD and many others, together with ExacTrac Stereotactic imaging capabilities, Surface Guided Radiotherapy, & Breath control solutions to achieve precise treatment accuracy, including moving tumours.

Dedicated Leksell Gamma Knife Radiosurgery Treatment

This system provides non-invasive radiosurgery for brain tumors and lesions, utilising focused gamma rays for high-precision treatment. This technology offers precise treatment with a quicker setup, allowing multiple tumours to be treated in one session, improving convenience and effectiveness without the need for invasive surgical procedures.

Brachytherapy Treatment

Radiation is delivered directly to cancer cells using radioactive material at a close distance to the tumour tissue. There is minimal exposure to surrounding healthy tissues, and patients benefit through an enhanced treatment success rate. Brachytherapy could be used in combination with Linace-based Radiotherapy. GYN tumors are the common brachy applications.

Hyperthermia Treatment

Hyperthermia is a multidisciplinary approach to cancer therapy. It has been proven effective in combination with radiation therapy and/or chemotherapy. It works by heating tumours to temperatures of 41-43°C for 1 hour using focused electromagnetic waves without causing complications. In addition to the direct cell-killing effect, hyperthermia has biological advantages with enhanced perfusion, improving tumour oxygenation and making it more responsive to radiation or chemotherapy treatments. Hyperthermia-enhanced cytotoxicity (Chemo-sensitization) is another advantage, but it depends on the effect mechanism for each agent used.

Diagnostics Radiology - Angiography Suite

With advanced deep learning technologies, our suite integrates interventional and diagnostic capabilities for comprehensive, single room procedures with minimal radiation exposure.

Photon-Counting CT (Siemens Naeotom Alpha)

Southeast Asia's first Photon-Counting CT (PCCT), the Naeotom Alpha system converts X-ray directly into electrical signals instead of first converting them into visible light, as with conventional CT imaging. This overcomes the loss of signal and produces sharper and clearer CT images without increasing radiation dose to the patient.

Angio CT (Canon Alphenix 4DCT) with the World's first high-definition detector

The Angio CT combines interventional and diagnostic technologies into one seamless solution. Designed to support complex procedures such as transarterial chemoembolisation (TACE), Yttrium-90 radioembolisation, radiofrequency ablation (RFA), nucleoplasty, and nerve blocks. The Alphenix 4DCT features the world's first high-definition angiography detector with over twice the image resolution of conventional systems. Its 16cm volumetric CT fluoroscopy provides exceptional image quality in a single rotation, significantly reducing scan times and enhancing procedural outcomes. Its CT reconstruction software (AiCE) leverages deep learning to reduce noise, amplify signals, and produce sharper and clearer images. This revolutionary platform elevates clinical performance and patient care in interventional imaging.

PET CT (Siemens Biograph Vision)

Siemens Biograph Vision PET CT system is powered by silicon photomultiplier (SiPM) technology to deliver highly sensitivity and ultra-high spatial resolution for clearer, more accurate diagnostics. With reduced FDG dose requirements, it prioritizes patient safety by minimising radiation exposure while maintaining exceptional image quality. The Biograph Vision is designed to empower healthcare professionals with advanced tools for early detection and greater diagnostic confidence.

New Mammography Fleet (Siemens Mammomat Brilliant)

The Siemens MAMMOMAT B.brilliant is equipped with high-resolution 2D and 3D imaging capabilities, including wide-angle tomosynthesis for superior tissue visualization, to deliver precise and reliable results. Its patient-centric design emphasizes comfort, offering personalized compressions and rapid five-second scans, while delivering accurate and reliable results.

MRI Fusion Biopsy (Philips UroNav) at MNH Radiology Department

The Philips UroNav seamlessly fuses pre-biopsy MRI with real-time ultrasound imaging, providing exceptional 3D visualization of the prostate, suspicious lesions, and biopsy needle path. This advanced imaging technique allows doctors to precisely target suspicious areas for biopsy, ensuring more accurate diagnosis and improved patient outcomes.

Pulsed Field Ablation (Boston Farapulse) at MEH & MNH Radiology Department

Pulsed Field Ablation (PFA) is a cardiac electrophysiology solution for treating arrhythmias. Unlike conventional radiofrequency or cryothermal techniques, PFA uses pulsed electric fields to precisely target tissues for irreversible electroporation. This breakthrough approach delivers significantly faster procedures, reduces anaesthesia time, and minimises risks of surrounding tissue damage, offering a safer and more efficient alternative for arrhythmia treatment.
