Application Eligibility
Those applying for specialist accreditation must be registered as a specialist with the SMC or SDC.
a) Medical (non-dental) specialists must be registered with the Specialist Accreditation Board (SAB) for at least five (5) years and served a minimum of three (3) years as a Consultant (not including time as an Associate Consultant) in a public healthcare institution or equivalent / similar hospital setting.
b) Oral & Maxillo-Facial Surgery (OMS) and Paediatric Dentistry, specialists must be registered with the Dental Specialist Accreditation Board (DSAB) for at least five (5) years and served a minimum of three (3) years as a Consultant (not including time as an Associate Consultant) in a public healthcare institution or equivalent / similar hospital setting.
c) Except for Oral & Maxillo-Facial Surgery (OMS) and Paediatric Dentistry specialists, all other Dental specialists must be registered with the Dental Specialist Accreditation Board (DSAB) for at least three (3) years.
In order for your application to be processed within 90 working days from the date of submission, all required documents must be submitted. Please note that application that is received more than 30 calendar days after the declaration date on the application form and/or Referee signature date on the Professional Competence and Conduct Affirmation Form will be rejected.
