Iskandar Puteri, Johor, 3 February 2024 – In a first-of-its-kind event, Gleneagles Hospital Johor, part of IHH Healthcare Malaysia’s network of 18 hospitals, hosted an exclusive Metaverse Health Hunt and media tour, centred around the theme ‘Value in Every Step.’ The event offered media partners an immersive look into the hospital’s innovative healthcare delivery, seamlessly combining advanced technology with compassionate, patient-centred care to achieve outstanding clinical outcomes.

The Metaverse Health Hunt blended an engaging digital experience with a guided tour, showcasing how Gleneagles Hospital Johor is enhancing healthcare accessibility, efficiency, and service quality for its diverse community.

The hospital’s commitment to minimally invasive procedures was highlighted, demonstrating how these innovations optimise patient outcomes and shorten recovery times. Since May
2023, Gleneagles Hospital Johor has performed over 250 Obstetrics and Gynaecology robotic surgeries and 100 robotic total knee replacements, delivering exceptional results through a combination of advanced technology and compassionate care.

During the tour, media members visited key facilities, including the Premier International Patient Lounge, a serene environment designed to streamline healthcare experiences for international patients, particularly those from Indonesia. With multilingual staff and private amenities, the lounge reflects the hospital’s commitment to personalised care at every step.

Media partners also explored the Cancer Centre, A&E Unit, and Health Screening Centre, and had the opportunity to preview the upcoming Level 7 Ward, featuring a state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility. The tour included live demonstrations of PET-CT technology, featuring the region’s first Gallium scanner and Johor’s second FDG scanner, exemplifying the hospital’s commitment to precision cancer diagnosis and treatment.
